International Indian School, Buraidah celebrated Annual Day and Award Function – 2015 on 11 Dec 2015 for the boys section with great pomp and show.

The school was raised on 26 Aug 1989 with 45 students and 09 teachers for the Indian community of Buraidah and near by locations. Today the school has 2301 Indian and 215 Non Indian students on its roll under the able guidance of 127 teachers, 15 admin staff and 49 others.

Mr Othman Al Hissan, Supervisor, Ministry of Education presided over the function as Chief Guest. Dr Hifzur Rahman, Observer Indian Schools, Embassy of India, Riyadh was Guest of Honour.

Mr Siddik A Kalladka, Chairman of Managing Committee, Dr Syed  Raziur Rehman,  Vice Chairman of Managing Committee, Dr Shahid Karim, Mr Sadiqullah, Dr Uwes Ahmed,  Mr Santahna Gopalan, and Ms Minimol , M C members were the Advisory Committee for the great show. They graced the occasion with their presence.

The programme commenced with the Guard of Honour presented by the Scouts, Bunnies and Cubs under teacher incharge Mr Irshad, Mr Imtiyas Alam, Ms Neelam Pal, Ms Anitha Shaji, Ms Shamsul Arifa and Ms Ayesha Khanam. The international students from various countries, Bunnies and Cubs accorded traditional welcome to the guests present for the occasion.

Lt Col J A Rocque, Principal of the school welcomed the gathering and presented school report. The meritorious students in academics and sports were awarded with the certificates from the Ministry of Education and trophies from the school to appreciate their performances.

Master Faizan Ali Khan and Master Junaid were the master of ceremony under teacher guide Mr Hafiz Afzal. They carried forward the proceedings of the programme in the most befitting manner.

Master Abdul Rouf and Master Taquir Rehman recited the verses from the holy Quran.

Mr Othman Ahmed Al Hissan addressed the students, staff and parents and appreciated the efforts of school in every field. Dr Hifzur Rahman spoke to the gathering and advised them to ensure that their wards are prepared for the competitive exams after plus two as competition is tough to compete with others.

A gala variety entertainment was presented by the students, befitting the occasion under coordination of Mrs Zahida Khan. The Shakespearean Drama – Julius Ceaser, under the direction of Mrs Hasina Sadaf was enacted by the students. The other programmes on the stage were Scouts synchronized drill, Patriotic song, and Mime show on corruption.

The Coordination of Admin work was done by Mr.Tuman Basheer.

The decoration and stage was appreciated by all. Mrs Churnika and her team were the coordinators for decorations.

The school inaugurated sports complex in the school premises for students. Now school proudly boasts of having two Volley ball, one Basketball courts and three badminton courts. The facilities have been created for four Table Tennis tables in the school. Mrs Ajeena, Sports Teacher Coordinated the preparation of Sports Complex.

The other guests graced the occasion were Mr Abdul Aziz Aba Al Khail, Regional Manager and Mr Ahmed, Branch Manager, Bank Al Bilad. Mr Al Qunnus, Scout official from Saudi Scouts, Mr Syed Shaukat, Principal of International Indian School, Majmah, invited guests, parents, staff and students.

Vote of Thanks was extended by Mr Javed Hasan, Vice Principal of school.
